Penobscot Theatre Company is pleased to announce GASLIGHT, a suspenseful thriller that will keep audiences guessing until the very end.

Coming to Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater in August is Vern Thiessen's dark comedy, Lenin's Embalmers. running August 9-31, with performances at 8:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Two preview performances, August 7 and 8, begin at 7:30 p.m. Opening night is August 9, at 8 p.m.

The Harbor Stage Company, the artist-run ensemble on Cape Cod's Wellfleet Harbor, opens their eighth intrepid season with the World Premiere of Carrie Barrett's winsome new play, The Hermitage. Spirited and absurd, this clever comedy offers an offbeat look at class, charity, and the cost of doing business with friends. When a nouveau riche couple's longing for the perfect house leads them to install an ornamental hermitage, they realize their fantasy won't be complete without a final finishing touch: a real life hermit.

The Alliance Theatre is pleased to present the world premiere production of Nick's Flamingo Grill, by award-winning Atlanta playwright and author Phillip DePoy.  Nick's Flamingo Grill is inspired by the true story of the first integrated jazz club in Atlanta and will debut on the Hertz Stage September 29 - October 28, 2018.  Opening night is Thursday, October 4.

When a violent episode erupts in a gentrifying neighborhood, a disconnected community is asked to examine the roots of 'random' violence. Penned by company co-founder Brenda Withers, the piece offers a sideways glance at public safety, personal responsibility, and the hidden costs of making a living.

It has been 50 years since the passing of American artistEdward Hopper, but in Cape Cod his presence is still strong.  It will be stronger still this September when playwright Kevin Rice's original play, Hopper's Ghosts, gets a complete re-staging at the Provincetown Theater. Funny and poignant, Hopper's Ghosts is Rice's creative interpretation of Edward and Jo Hopper's tumultuous, often comical marriage. In what might be called a 'slice of afterlife', the play depicts one of America's most famous artist couples. Presented by Payomet Performing Arts Center, this critically-acclaimed show will run for ten performances startingWednesday,September 6th through Sunday, September 17th.  Also in P-Town this September (through October 15th), the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) is holding an Edward and Josephine Hopper exhibition featuring their recent acquisition of 96 drawings by Edward Hopper, 69 drawings and watercolors by his wife, Jo, and 22 diaries dating between from 1933-1956 chronicling the Hoppers' lives on Cape Cod and beyond.

Following the success of their delightfully different season opener, Everything is Established, Wellfleet's Harbor Stage Company, continues their sixth summer of serious fun with David Mamet's modern classic Glengarry Glen Ross.  An unrelenting look at the vicious underbelly of masculinity and ambition, Glengarry follows of a group of Chicago real estate salesmen as they jockey for commissions, leads, and personal standing.

The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2015-2016 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, September 12, to patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party was generously hosted by the Alliance Theatre, at 6:30pm in The Circle Room, on the third floor, 1280 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309.

The Harbor Stage Company continues its 5th season with the World Premiere of an original comedy by Harbor co-founder Brenda Withers. Set in an imagined province of 19th century Russia, The Kritik tells the story of a small-town writer struggling to turn in his first honest review. Originally commissioned by the Professional Actors Training Program at UNC Chapel Hill, the faux-period piece offers a spirited look at candor, corruption, and community.

Atlanta, GA, November 2, 2015-The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced winners for the 2014-2015 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening at the 11th annual awards ceremony held at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center. Presenters included local favorite performers Denise Arribas, Tiffany Porter, Gina Rickicki, Clifton Guterman, Kevin Harry, Jeremiah Parker Hobbs, Chris Kayser, and Topher Payne.

This evening, Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. revealed nominations for the 2014-2015 Atlanta professional theatrical season. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Horizon Theatre. Guest announcers included the ladies of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project: Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Tiffany Porter, and Megan Rose.
