Harbor Stage Company's 6th Season Opens with Offbeat Comedy of Manners

By:

The Harbor Stage Company, the artist-run ensemble on Cape Cod's Wellfleet Harbor, opens their sixth intrepid season with the New England Regional premiere of Everything is Established, a wild new comedy by playwright Hannah Kenah. Punctuated by original music, vivid language, and antic physicality, Everything is Established tells the story of two bewildered servants and a mail-order bride struggling to cope with their master's death.

A Michener Fellow at UT Austin and company member of the much-lauded Rude Mechs, Hannah Kenah has developed original works for Yale Rep, Salvage Vanguard, and LCT3. The Harbor's production of Everything is Established will feature frequent company collaborator Robin Bloodworth (The Kritik, A Doll's House), visiting artist Danielle Slavick (The Flea, Actors' Theatre of Louisville), and Harbor co-founder Brenda Withers, who will also direct. Rounding out the creative team are stage manager Katie Graves, lighting designer John Malinowski, set designer Sara C. Walsh, and technical director Evan Farley. Performances begin Thursday, June 15th at the Harbor's iconic seaside theater and will play through Saturday, July 8th.

The Harbor Stage Company is helmed by co-founders Jonathan Fielding, Stacy Fischer, Brenda Withers, and Artistic Director Robert Kropf. In keeping with its mission to produce great plays at fair prices for the right reason, and thanks to the support of local sponsors Winslow's Tavern and WOMR, single tickets to Harbor performances remain set at $23 (along with $65 three-play subscriptions). The Harbor will also continue its tradition of partnering with deserving Cape charities for their First Fridays Pay-What-You-Can performances. The company will donate half the proceeds from their by-donation performance of Everything is Established on Friday, June 16th to Wild Care, a non-profit dedicated to rehabilitating sick or injured wildlife on Cape Cod and protecting our local ecosystems, allowing patrons to enjoy a play while supporting two worthy Cape causes.
