Harbor Stage Company Presents THE DEER AND THE ANTELOPE

In keeping with their commitment to provocative, original work, Wellfleet's Harbor Stage Company proudly presents the premiere of The Deer and the Antelope, a new dark comedy about law and disorder. When a violent episode erupts in a gentrifying neighborhood, a disconnected community is asked to examine the roots of "random" violence. Penned by company co-founder Brenda Withers, the piece offers a sideways glance at public safety, personal responsibility, and the hidden costs of making a living.

The company's third and final installment of their seventh season marks the welcome return of co-founder Jonathan Fielding to the Harbor's stage. The cast will also feature co-founder Robert Kropf, Harbor favorite Robin Bloodworth, Winslow Corbett (familiar to Wellfleet audiences from her turns in Born Yesterday and Noises Off), and, making her Harbor debut, Emily Nash. Rounding out the creative team are stage manager Katie Graves, lighting designer John Malinowski, and set designer Sara C. Walsh. Performances begin Thursday, August 9th and will play through Sunday, September 2nd.

The Harbor Stage Company is helmed by co-founders Jonathan Fielding, Stacy Fischer, Robert Kropf, and Brenda Withers. In keeping with its mission to produce great plays at fair prices for the right reason, and thanks to the support of local sponsors WOMR, Kathleen Nagle at Kinlin Grover, and Cape Air, single tickets to Harbor performances remain set at $23. The company will continue its tradition of partnering with deserving Cape charities for their First Fridays Pay-What-You-Can performances. Half the proceeds from the Harbor's by-donation Friday, August 10th performance of The Deer & the Antelope will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod, a non-profit dedicated to building affordable housing in partnership with the community.
