Ford's Theatre and Ford's Theatre Museum to Begin Phased Re-Opening

Ford's Theatre Society and the National Park Service have announced a phased reopening schedule for Ford's Theatre and the Ford's Theatre Museum beginning Wednesday, October 14, 2020, with advance tickets required. Tickets for October 14-18 will be available online beginning October 13, 2020, at 10 a.m.

Baltimore's Everyman Theatre Announces 30th Anniversary Season

Drury Lane Theatre announces Johanna McKenzie Miller will direct its production of Steel Magnolias, written by Robert Harling. Bringing this story of female strength and friendship to life alongside McKenzie Miller is an all-female creative team, including Angela Weber Miller (Scenic Design), Jessica Pabst (Costume Design), Lindsay Lyddan (Lighting Design), Sarah Ramos (Sound Design), Emily Young (Wig Design), and Cassy Schillo (Properties Design).

Theatre At St. Luke's to Debut Immersive In-the-Round Production Of STEEL MAGNOLIAS

Theatre at St. Luke's opens its 9th season with the classic comedic drama Steel Magnolias, by Robert Harling. Under the direction of Steve MacKinnon, the popular play turned iconic movie will be an immersive theatre-in-the-round experience. Audience members will step through the full-scale doors to Truvy's beauty parlor where they'll actually sit with the show's main characters, six southern women, navigating life together. Steel Magnolias opens March 6 at 7:00 p.m. and will run select dates through March 22. Tickets are $15-25 and are available at st.lukes.org/steelmagnolias.

Rose Theatre today announces Robert Harling's romantic comedy Steel Magnolias starring Kara Tointon (Shelby), directed by Anthony Banks. The production opens on 6 May, with previews from 1 May, and runs until 23 May.

PlayMakers Repertory Company has announced its 2020/21 Season, All Too Human: The Art of Comedy. The season features nine productions that explore the gamut of human experience showcased in comedies both classic and new. The PlayMakers Mainstage season will feature a tribe of loving, zany Southern belles, a buddy-cop adventure that crackles with hope and humor amidst the fall of the Soviet Union, a George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, a story of one woman's drastic fall down the social ladder and her fabulous self-reinvention, the Bard's most famous pastoral comedy, and the heartwarming tale of a young girl and the community of family, teachers, and friends who help her achieve her heart's desire. Our PRC2 Kenan Stage also brings three uniquely distinct, fresh perspectives on the comedic form, chosen to continue pushing the boundaries of what we believe 'theatre' to be.
