Today and tomorrow's performances of Broadway's smash hit Moulin Rouge! The Musical have been cancelled. An Instagram story post from the show's official account broke the news. The notice reads, 'Due to positive COVID cases in the company, performances today and tomorrow of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway are cancelled.' 

Tam Mutu has revealed that due to Covid-19, he will be unable to finish his contract with Moulin Rouge! The Musical, playing his final performance as The Duke of Monroth on May 3. It was previously announced that his final performance would take place on May 8.

The Musical will commemorate its 500th Broadway performance on Saturday evening, Mat 7th by partnering with the New York City Department of Education to distribute 500 tickets to NYC area schools. Aaron Tveit and Natlie Mendoza appeared on The View this morning to perform 'Your Song' from Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Originally by Elton John, the song is one of the many popular songs covered in the musical. Moulin Rouge! The Musical is the winner of ten 2021 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Actor for Tveit.
