The national tour of FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME will play Pasadena Playhouse July 12-August 7, 2022. The 90-minute show is created nightly with the audience and no two shows are ever the same.

It’s the fifth and final single from Iconis’ sprawling new 44-track album, simply titled Album, which features over 70 members of Iconis’ vast family of collaborators including Aaron Tveit, Andrew Ranells, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Krysta Rodriguez, Andrew Barth Feldman, Kerry Butler, Danny Burstein, Annie Golden, George Salazar, Will Roland, and more.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS announced that composer, songwriter, and playwright Joe Iconis will welcome a star-studded list of guest performers for his Wednesday, June 22 show at The Bourbon Room in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of Album.

The Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced that FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME founding member, producer, and Pulitzer Prize, Grammy®, Emmy®, and Tony Award® Winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In the Heights, Disney’s Encanto) will join the national tour of FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME as a special guest at the 8 p.m. performance on June 10, 2022.

In addition to the previously announced Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart,  Tony Nominee Chris Jackson will also be appearing in FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME during its engagement at the Kimmel Cultural Campus in Philadelphia.

Following a successful limited Broadway engagement this fall that included a 2020 Special Tony Award, the critically-acclaimed improv sensation FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME, conceived by Philadelphia native Anthony Veneziale and created by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Anthony Veneziale, announced a national tour coming to the Kimmel Cultural Campus' Miller Theater from June 7-12, 2022.

Not a fan of rap, improv or audience participation, three key ingredients of FLS, I have to say I was drawn in by the incredibly talented cast and the lightning speed at which they riff on random thoughts and observations. Combining sketch theater and 'freestyle rap, the 90-minute exercise in creativity included humor, social awareness, pathos and inspiration.

Joe Iconis, Lauren Marcus, and more took over Union Square Park in a performance as part of NY PopsUp on Tuesday, June 1. The special performance also featured Richard Baskin, Jr. and Will Van Dyke.

NY PopsUp will present an array of performances this week from the Bronx to upstate New York. Performances include a piano bar in Union Square Park featuring Joe Iconis, Lauren Marcus, Richard Baskin, Jr., and Will Van Dyke.
