Live Kritzerland Concert JUNE TUNES AND A TRIBUTE TO STEPHEN SONDHEIM comes to Feinstein's At Vitello's on June 3.

The Group Rep presents producer/director/writer Bruce Kimmel’s L.A. Now and Then, a brand new musical revue celebrating the City of Angels opening April 1, 2022. Cast features the vocals talents of Bita Arefnia, Lottie Arnold, Lisa Dyson, Harrison Fahn, Liz Grannis, Tim Hearl, Haruna Kajino, Marcel Licera, Danika Masi, Hisato Masuyama, Alariza Nevarez, Alec Reusch, Jeffrey Rockwell, Margaret Staedler and Tamir Yardenne, with musical direction by Richard Allen. I had the chance to find out some behind-the-scenes details on L.A. Now and Then from Richard, as well as some highlights of his long musical career.

Broadway Records today releases Caroline, or Change (The New Broadway Cast Recording), made in collaboration with Roundabout Theatre Company under the new Broadway Records label imprint, Roundabout Records.

Roundabout Theatre Company has released the studio recording of Caroline, or Change (The New Broadway Cast Recording) from Broadway Records/Roundabout Records, with the physical release date set for January 14, 2022. 

On December 10th, Freedom Riders National Monument will release the special concert performance of Allen and Gray’s FREEDOM RIDERS: The Civil Rights Musical in honor of the Freedom Rides 60th anniversary.

Richard Allen and Taran Gray, the creators of the award-winning FREEDOM RIDERS: The Civil Rights Musical will be releasing the 18-song world premiere recording in its entirety on November 19th.  BroadwayWorld has your first listen to 'Come Down to the River' from the world premiere cast recording.

The team behind the hit new play NOIR have released the first images from the production that is now streaming exclusively on Overture+ around the world.

After a successful streaming run in the UK and Europe, the new play NOIR inspired by 40s and 50s black and white movies, will finally be available in America and the rest of the world as it joins the fantastic theatre streaming site OVERTURE+.

For the 115th Kritzerland show it's a celebration, the eleventh anniversary of monthly Kritzerland shows. Eleven years of presenting amazing songs sung by an array of the most talented singers around. For the anniversary show, there's a great cast and some surprises, well-known and obscure theater and film songs and a whole lot of happiness and joy.

The fundraiser THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC! is an evening of songs under the stars directed and hosted by Bruce Kimmel, with musical direction by Richard Allen, produced by Kathleen Delaney for the Group Rep, will take place Monday, August 23rd at 8:00 pm and Tuesday, August 24th at 8:00 pm with a dessert buffet to follow catered by Great Grapes.

Kritzerland will resume its LIVE presentations at Feinstein’s at Vitello’s with KRITZERLAND’s 114th July 28, 2021. Bruce Kimmel, the mastermind behind (and front center) of Kritzerland made some time available between his creative multi-taskings to talk about Kritzerland and his various other accomplishments.

For the 114th Kritzerland show, it’s the return of LIVE shows. After a year-and-a-half, Kritzerland is back and so happy to perform live again at Feinstein’s Upstairs at Vitello’s. It’s the usual mix of great theater songs, great movie songs, and, as always, some very rare material you won’t be hearing anywhere else.

Award winning composers Richard Allen and Taran Gray are presenting a reimagining of Disney's The Princess and the Frog on Clubhouse June 18th and June 19th in celebration of Juneteenth and to raise money for Harlem Performing Arts Academy - Harbor Boys and Girls Club. 

BAFTA Award winning Katherine Parkinson’s (Home, I’m Darling, The IT Crowd) debut play Sitting has been adapted for the screen, airing at 10.30pm on Wednesday 7th April on BBC Four.  Jeremy Herrin directs the hour-long comedy-drama.

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT is back by popular demand for One Night Only! Saturday, March 13 at 5:00 pm (PST). An original streaming musical written specifically for the online world in which we are living with book, music, lyrics and directed by Bruce Kimmel, with musical direction and orchestrations by Richard Allen. Edited by Marshall Harvey (The Burbs, Small Soldiers, Looney Tunes: Back in Action).

Kritzerland’s Tonight’s The Night, an original streaming musical written specifically for the online world in which we're all living, premiered for three performances in February 2021. It will repeat for one performance only. 

New York Theatre Barn will host a free special event live stream of excerpts from the new civil rights musical Freedom Riders on Wednesday, February 24th, 2020 at 7PM EDT. The live 1-hour presentation will also feature a conversation with the writers and a special appearance by one of the last surviving Freedom Riders Charles Person.
