Harnessing the unifying power of music, Disney Channel is presenting a night of entertainment for kids and families with two music specials featuring a bevy of fan-favorite Disney Channel stars, past and present, along with celebrity guests and popular artists.
A series of new interstitial messages, from kids' favorite Disney Channel stars, designed to offer reassurance and a sense of community during the present global health crisis premieres FRIDAY, MARCH 27, on Disney Channel and Disney Channel YouTube. The series includes over 35 Disney Channel stars who each filmed their message from their homes and around their neighborhoods, sharing how they stay positive, active and, with the help of parents and family members, navigate through this uncertain time. The series is designed to demonstrate for viewers age 6-14 that they are not alone in this experience, and we are all in this together (#WAITT).
Raising the comedy stakes, the second season of the hybrid family sitcom/improvisation series 'Just Roll With It' is set to premiere SUNDAY, MARCH 15 (8:45 p.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. Comedian J.C. Currais becomes a series regular cast member, in the fan-favorite role of Gator, and John Ratzenberger (Disney/Pixar's 'Toy Story,' 'Cheers') guest stars in a recurring role as Blair's grandfather. The season also includes 'wild' animals, real-life wedding vows with legal matrimony as part of a storyline and feats of epic proportions. The studio audience votes for wacky scenarios that the cast must improvise their way through during the show taping. Additional season two guest stars include Charles Shaughnessy ('The Magicians,' 'The Nanny'), Johnny Pemberton ('Superstore'), Jason Earles (Disney's 'Hannah Montana'), Debra Wilson ('MADtv'), Jillian Shea Spaeder (Disney's 'Walk the Prank') and Kingston Foster (Disney's 'ZOMBIES').
Disney Channel has picked up a second season of the unique new comedy 'Just Roll With It' and entered into an overall development deal with its creators and executive producers, Adam Small and Trevor Moore, to write and produce programming for Disney Channel and Disney+. Production on season two will commence in September.
