MEDUSA: THE MUSICAL to Feature in Concert Lineup May 20

Medusa: The Musical, which had a debut through New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Spring Festival this April will play songs from its bustling score as part of the May 20, 2019 concert of Broadway's Future Songbook Series presented by Arts and Artists for Tomorrow.

Area Stage Company To Present Charming World Premiere Musical THE BALLAD OF JANIS MATTHEWS AND THE DODO SCOUTS

Area Stage Company in Coral Gables, known for it's critically acclaimed, reimagined Mainstage productions of Broadway classics, as well as it's professional-level youth Conservatory, will present The Ballad of Janis Matthews and the Dodo Scouts, a world premiere musical written, directed, and designed by ASC's own Giancarlo Rodaz, with music by Rachel Dean.

Dana Aber's new solo show, BAGGAGE AT THE DOOR, performs this this today, Aug 30, 7:30pm at The Dixon Place. Baggage at the Dooris a wry peek inside the head of a seemingly well-adjusted trauma-queen- it is one woman's struggle to get through the terrors of her past and reclaim tenderness. With music written in collaboration with award-winning emerging composers, Baggage at the Dooris an autobiographical solo show addressing the critical moment when a trauma survivor realizes she may no longer be able to simply cope; when falling in love triggers her latent PTSD, she might be f*cked. This quirky and candid piece explores her attempts to break the PTSD trauma cycle and find strength to open the door toward a better life. TW: trauma TW: PTSD TW: humor.
