The Monmouth Community Players Announce Cast of SHE KILLS MONSTERS

The Monmouth Community Players, along with Marquis season sponsor, Great Falls Regional Federal Credit Union, and season sponsors Auburn Savings Bank, Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union, and LWPE Law Offices, will present Qui Nguyen's She Kills Monsters. Co-directing this epic adventure are Mary Melquist and Scotty Venable.

A.C.T. Announces Cast and Creative Team For Qui Nguyen's POOR YELLA REDNECKS

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced the full cast and creative team for Qui Nguyen's Poor Yella Rednecks. After the rollicking success of Vietgone in 2018, Nguyen returns to A.C.T. with the second chapter in his kickass, hip-hop trilogy about a Vietnamese family who swap war-torn Saigon for rural 1970's Arkansas.

SHE KILLS MONSTERS Opens At Long Beach Playhouse, February 24

In She Kills Monsters playwright Qui Nguyen pays homage to the geek, the outsider, and the warrior within us all. In the play, Agnes Evans is an average young woman who wishes her life could be different. When her wish is answered in a way she never expected, she begins a journey to get to know her younger sister, Tilly. In the process, she steps into a world she knows nothing about and discovers secrets she never imagined.

Inaugural Mid-Career Director Grant Awarded to Mina Morita

TheFrontOffice Foundation is awarding a $25,000 mid-career grant to Mina Morita, the Director of Artistic & Artist Development at Crowded Fire Theater Company, that will serve as one of the largest financial awards to an individual director. 

James Ijames and Lloyd Suh to be Honored With 2022 Steinberg Playwright Awards

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust has announced the names of the two outstanding early-to-mid-career playwrights who will be celebrated with 2022 Steinberg Playwright Awards in the amount of $100,000 each.  This year’s recipients of the “Mimi” Awards are James Ijames and Lloyd Suh.

Disney Releases STRANGE WORLD Soundtrack Featuring Score By Henry Jackman

The Strange World Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring score by composer Henry Jackman (“The Gray Man,” “Ron’s Gone Wrong,” “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”), is out now. The sweeping and epic score is composed and produced by Jackman. The soundtrack features 31 tracks including “They’re The Clades!” with lyrics by Kevin Del Aguila.

Beloved Masterpiece A CHRISTMAS CAROL Comes To The T2 Stage This December
