Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the musical event of the summer: Ragtime The Musical.

Mark St. Germain is a prolific playwright whose works have been performed in New York City, the Berkshires and beyond. He has written the plays CAMPING WITH HENRY AND TOM (Outer Critics Circle Award and Lucille Lortel Award), OUT OF GAS ON LOVER'S LEAP and FORGIVING TYPHOID MARY (Time Magazine's 'Year's Ten Best') , EARS ON A BEATLE and THE GOD COMMITTEE, all published by Samuel French and Dramatist Play Service. With Randy Courts, he has written the musicals THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI, JOHNNY PYE AND THE FOOLKILLER, winner of an AT&T 'New Plays For The Nineties Award' and JACK'S HOLIDAY at Playwrights Horizons. Mark's musical, STAND BY YOUR MAN, The Tammy Wynette Story was created for Nashville's Ryman Theater.

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced full casting and performance dates for Where the Mountain Meets the Sea, written by AUDELCO Award nominee Jeff Augustin (The New Englanders, “The Morning Show”) and directed by Princess Grace Award winner Joshua Kahan Brody, with music by The Bengsons (Hundred Days, The Lucky Ones).

Playwrights Horizons has extended Will Arbery’s Corsicana, directed by Tony winner Sam Gold, one week, to July 17, due to popular demand. The world premiere production opened Wednesday, June 22.

Ojai Playwrights Conference has announced 11 playwrights for the 25th Anniversary New Works Festival taking place August 7-14, 2022, in Ojai, CA, marking a return to in-person workshops and live performances after two years of working online.

Peri Mauer's new composition 'A Landscape Variant', for flute, clarinet, viola, cello, and piano will premiere Sunday, June 26, 2022, 4pm ETat Christ and Saint Stephen's Church (120 West 69th Street, NYC) in a program presented by Collide-O-Scope Music. The Cape Cod Theatre Project's (CCTP) all-female playwright season opens with Gina Femia's The Violet Sisters, featuring Lucy DeVito and Sarah Schenkkan, directed by Taylor Reynolds. MCC Theater announced their 2022-2023 season. MCC’s season will open in October with the World Premiere of Only Gold, a new musical with music and lyrics by Kate Nash (GLOW) and a book by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) and Ted Malawer (Everything Beautiful Happens at Night).
