Harriet Thorpe and Tim Flavin Join Tracie Bennett In MAME At Hope Mill Theatre

Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment, Hope Mill Theatre and Ray Rackham Theatrical are delighted to announce that Harriet Thorpe and Tim Flavin will star as Vera and Beauregard respectively in the first professional UK revival of Jerry Herman's much loved musical MAME. They join the previously announced Tracie Bennett in the title role.

Casting has been announced for the new musical 'Perfectly Ordinary' at the Hope Mill Theatre this July. With a Book & Lyrics by Matthew Rankcom and a score by Joe Wilson, the production, based on real events, is 'a touching insight into life with a mental illness'. The musical premiered at the Guildford Fringe Festival in 2018 and appears now in an all-new production for Manchester audiences.

Director Mark Giesser returns to Upstairs at the Gatehouse with George and Ira Gershwin's madcap musical hidden gem Strike Up The Band, written with George S. Kaufman in 1927. While the original script was rewritten by Morrie Ryskind in 1930, this production presents the original, with the dark satire on America's war-mongering over a trade deal re-established.
