BWW Interview: Herbert Siguenza Smoothly Glides From Culture Clash to PICASSO

The film adaptation of Herbert Siguenza’s solo show A WEEKEND WITH PABLO PICASSO begins its on-demand viewing March 6, 2021. Presented by CaltechLive! and produced by San Diego Repertory Theatre, Tim Powell and Todd Salovey direct WEEKEND, based on Herbert's sold out nationwide, one-man show. The very busy Herbert managed to carve out a little time to answer a few of my enquiries.

Rose Art Museum Receives Record Number of Gifts of Art for its 60th Anniversary

The Rose Art Museum has announced the gift of 86 works of art in honor of the museum’s 60th anniversary. This trove of artworks – by established and emerging artists – includes significant pieces by Francesco Clemente, Renee Cox, Jim Dine, Jenny Holzer, Danny Lyon, Yoko Ono, Jenny Holzer, Tracey Moffatt, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol among others.

Union Station Will Honor Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Liberation Of Auschwitz Tomorrow

Tomorrow, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Union Station will join countries and communities around the world to commemorate the January 27th, 1945 liberation of Auschwitz, 76 years ago.  Tonight, on the eve of this important date, Union Station will present a special free, live music performance at 7:00 pm on the Station's Facebook account.

Dallas Art Fair Foundation Gifts Two Artworks To Dallas Museum Of Art And Nasher Sculpture Center

The Dallas Art Fair Foundation has announced it has gifted two artworks from the Dallas Art Fair's Four x Five exhibition to two major Dallas museums. The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) has acquired Cynthia Daignault's painting, Elegy (Los Angeles) (2019), for its permanent collection. The Nasher Sculpture Center has acquired a new wall sculpture by Gabriel Rico, Cincuenta from the series 'Reducción objetiva orquestada (2020), for its permanent collection.
