Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) announces a one week extension for the world premiere production of Halfway Bitches Go Straight to Heaven by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis (Between Riverside and Crazy), directed by Obie Award winner John Ortiz, and co-produced with LAByrinth Theater Company. Circle in the Square Theatre School, the only professional actor training program affiliated with a Broadway theatre, is has announced it is now accepting applications for its new and exciting B.F.A. in Theatre and Musical Theatre in conjunction with Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.

WestEnd Films has closed a US deal with Greenwich Entertainment for Israel's Academy Award submission Incitement, a film by award-winning writer-director Yaron Zilberman (critically acclaimed A Late Quartet with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Christopher Walken). The film recently had its world premiere at TIFF where it received rave reviews, followed by European and UK premieres at the Zurich Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today that Renée Zellweger is set to receive the illustrious American Riviera Award in January 2020. Zellweger will be recognized for her many attributes to the art of film over the years, and most recently, her work as Judy Garland in LD Entertainment and Roadside Attractions' JUDY. The tribute will take place at the historic Arlington Theatre during the 35th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

John Patrick Shanley's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece is directed at Studio by Matt Torney and anchored by Studio mainstay Sarah Marshall. She is joined by Christian Conn (Studio Theatre's Venus in Fur) as Father Flynn, Amelia Pedlow as Sister James, and Tiffany M. Thompson as Mrs. Muller.

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting today announced its relocation to 65 Broadway in Lower Manhattan from the Studio's long-time home at 31 West 27th Street in Chelsea. The move takes place 70 years after the organization was founded by Stella Adler, whose philosophy has guided the Studio since 1949. 

San Francisco Playhouse announced casting for the Bay Area premiere of Dance Nation, Clare Barron's award-winning play about pre-teen competitive dancers. Becca Wolff will direct the Playhouse production, with choreography by Kimberly Richards.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is excited to announce the addition of Philip Carlson to its National Advisory Board.  Mr. Carlson assisted RLTP this season in kicking off its Screen to Stage reading series. The organization is grateful for his involvement with the series and looks forward to working with him for seasons to come.

Huntington Theatre Company board and staff are celebrating breaking their fundraising record at the Spotlight Spectacular gala, Monday, May 6. Held at the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama, the gala brought in $1.3 million to support the Huntington's operations for the fiscal year, including its broad range of education and community outreach programs.
