Born in Rio de Janeiro and now based in New York, the virtuoso musician has established himself as an acclaimed performer and composer, collaborating with artists such as Michael Brecker, Wynton Marsalis, Paquito D'Rivera, and Kenny Barron, among many others, and leading his own, groundbreaking ensemble, Trio da Paz.
