According to legions of New England rock and roll fans, summer officially launches when Sal Baglio (The Stompers, The Amplifier Heads) brings his “body-shaking and spirit-lifting” cross genre rock and roll to the legendary Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury, MA.  Like the Swan Boats returning to The Public Garden and that first bite by a greenhead at the beach, another local tradition continues this year when Sal arrives at Blue Ocean on Saturday June 18 with his latest amalgam, The Sensational Rock N Roller Coaster Ride, for another raucous live show celebrating the season. 

Brooklyn born comedian and podcast host Chris Distefano released his new self-produced  comedy special Speshy Weshy with Netflix today. Along with this new special Chris was recently announced as part of Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival, with his own headlining set on Thursday May 5th at the Peppermint Club, as well being selected for the Amy Schumer and Friends set on May 6th at the Hollywood Palladium.

The new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander, opens Saturday, June 4, and continues through Sunday, June 19.

Stars in the House for Ukraine, an 11+ Hour telethon of the weekly streaming show, raised $139,000 for the International Rescue Committee's humanitarian efforts for those affected by the war in Ukraine. That total is inclusive of a generous matching donation by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which matched the first $50,000 worth of donations.
