A new block of tickets for the Broadway production of Hamilton will be made available on Tuesday June 11 at 10:00 AM ET exclusively through Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Verified Fan is an innovative new technology from Ticketmaster that combats bots and scalpers, helping shows like HAMILTON level the playing field so fans get better access to real tickets.

There are a handful of musicals whose debuts changed the face of what musical theatre could be: Oklahoma, Company, West Side Story, Hair, A Chorus Line and now you can add to that list HAMILTON: AN AMERICAN MUSICAL. HAMILTON is an international sensation that appeared on Broadway in 2015 and is sung and rapped through with scant traditional dialogue. Inspired by the 2004 biography Alexander Hamilton by historian Ron Chernow about the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, it features music, lyrics and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The show incorporates hip hop, R&B, pop, soul, traditional-style show tunes, and color-conscious casting of non-white actors as the Founding Fathers and other historical figures. In 2016, HAMILTON received a record 16 Tony nominations, winning 11, including Best Musical, and was also the recipient of the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The prior Off-Broadway production won the 2015 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical as well as seven other Drama Desk Awards.

The first national touring production of Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations will officially launch at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, in July 2020, before the tour goes on to play more than 50 cities coast-to-coast for more than 100 touring weeks, including a homecoming to The Temptations' roots in Detroit, and a triumphant return to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) announced today that single tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public on Saturday, June 8 at 8 AM at ppacri.org and in person at the PPAC Box Office (220 Weybosset Street). Tickets will be available for performances July 23 - August 11, 2019. In Providence, HAMILTON will be the spectacular season finale of the Taco/White Family Foundation Broadway Series for the 2018/2019 Season. HAMILTON will make its Australian premiere at the Sydney Lyric Theatre in a new production beginning March 2021. Producers Jeffrey Seller and Michael Cassel together with creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, joined NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian in announcing the much-anticipated production today.

The 25th Anniversary TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards were held last Friday, April 26 at The Edison Ballroom. The honorees were: Susan Hilferty who was presented the TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award by her friends Chita Rivera and Michael Mayer; scenic designer John Lee Beatty who was presented the Robert L. B. Tobin Award by former Sharaff awardee, Jane Greenwood; Miodrag Guberinic who was presented the Kitty Leach Young Master Award by former Sharaff awardee Paul Tazewell, and Rodney Gordon who was presented the TDF/Irene Sharaff Artisan Award by Tony winner (and former employee) Cady Huffman.  This year's film by Suzy Benzinger was a special tribute to Irene Sharaff in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the awards.
