Organizers of the 2023 Rochester Fringe Festival (Tuesday, September 12–Saturday, September 23) announced that Tig Notaro will be this year’s comedy headliner on Saturday, September 16 at 8:00 p.m. in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 26 Gibbs Street.

American Cinema Editors (ACE) announced that writer/comedian Ashley Nicole Black (A Black Lady Sketch Show, Ted Lasso, Bad Monkey) will host the 73rd Annual ACE Eddie Awards recognizing outstanding editing in 14 categories of film, television and documentaries.

The acclaimed musical duo returns to London to showcase their rock greatness to their army of loyal fans. This will be Tenacious D’s first show in the UK since 2019 when they played a run of sold-out shows that included two nights at Wembley Arena. The tour will include a stop at London’s The O2 on Friday, June 16th, 2023.

Celebrating a “Lifetime Achievement” award by the 38th Alexandria Film Festival, in Cairo, Egypt, actress Nora Armani will be commemorating her lifetime of achievements in an Off-Broadway solo performance. Nora will be presenting her English adaptation of MERCEDES AND ZARUHI, on November 6th, Sunday at 7:00 pm, at the United Solo Theatre Festival at Theatre Row in New York.

Maria Bamford is revered for her deeply personal and experimental comedy about mental illness. She starred in the surreal, semi-autobiographical Netflix comedy series Lady Dynamite, about a comedian who suffers a nervous breakdown.  

Following two sold-out engagements, The Den Theatre will welcome back comedian Maria Bamford for five stand-up performances November 17 – 19, 2022 on The Heath Mainstage.
