The Orange County premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Friday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, August 7.

The Orange County Performing Arts Center and producers Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher announced today that the award-winning musical MARY POPPINS will begin performances at Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa on Thursday, July 14, 2011 for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, July 31, 2011. Opening night is set for Friday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The Portland premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Friday, June 24, 2011 at 7:30pm at the Keller Auditorium for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, July 10, 2011. MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday through Friday evenings at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm and 7:30pm and Sundays at 1:00pm and 6:30pm. 'We're very excited that Mary Poppins has flown into town and that audiences in Portland will have the opportunity to experience this blockbuster musical' said Portland Opera General Director, Christopher Mattaliano. 'Tickets are on sale and great seats are still available.'

So when "Mary Poppins" popped up on the marquee I thought, "Well, this will be cute," but I didn't hold out for more than that. I mean I love the movie but what more can they do with that? Who could have guessed that I would be in for a truly magical and exhilarating ride that left me with tears streaming down my face and perma-grin for the ride home?

The Seattle premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Friday, May 13 at 8 pm at The Paramount Theatre for a limited three-week engagement through Sunday, May 29.

Last night at the 27th annual Helen Hayes Awards celebrating excellence in Washington, D.C. theater, Caroline Sheen won Outstanding Lead Actress, Non-Resident Production for the title role in the 2010 Kennedy Center premiere of the MARY POPPINS North American Tour.

Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's beloved Australian production of MARY POPPINS will play its final performance in Melbourne at Her Majesty's Theatre on Friday, April 1 before moving the entire production to the Capitol Theatre in Sydney, beginning Sunday, April 17 for a May 5th opening. The Melbourne production of MARY POPPINS premiered on Thursday, July 29, 2010, opening to critical acclaim and welcoming more than 500,000 theatergoers. When the curtain comes down on the final Melbourne show, MARY POPPINS will have played to 100% capacity at each of its 299 performances.
