BWW Review: Roundhouse Theatre's GEM OF THE OCEAN a Brilliant, Living Homage to August Wilson
by Andrew White
- Dec 6, 2018
Timothy Douglas' production of Wilson's Gem of the Ocean is as rich an experience as you could possibly ask for; set at the turn of the twentieth century, it offers a lesson in the trials of Pittsburgh's African-American community at a pivotal time in the Hill district's history. by Lauren Van Hemert
- Nov 3, 2018
For HEAD OVER HEELS' Tanner Ray Wilson, performing on a Broadway stage eight times a week is a far cry from his hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

That one class gave Wilson the confidence to pursue more classes and connect with other teachers, who he says not only helped him grow as an artist but also opened doors for him.

by Leah Tozer
- Oct 20, 2018
'If music be the food of love, play on'… and play Wils Wilson does with Shakespeare's chaotic, sharp-witted comedy. While wonderfully entertaining, and a comical, musical, and colourful delight, without distinct commentary on the seventies setting or a timely political parallel, this Twelfth Night is dated to the whimsical, psychedelic revels of a 1970s evening.
