If love had a sound, it would take the form of the colourful melodies pervading the air during the TSO's BEST OF TCHAIKOVSKY. Led by guest conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson, the TSO is showcasing a program of two Tchaikovsky favourites and one rare gem, especially for cellist Joseph Johnson. Wilson demonstrates exquisite leadership throughout the program, shaping the orchestra with sweeping dynamics and wringing an earnest, romantic sound out of a few of Tchaikovsky's most beautiful compositions.

On November 22, a beloved Rochester tradition returns to Geva Theatre Center on the Wilson Stage. The Key Bank Production of A Christmas Carol, Dickens' classic tale of redemption for the most despised man in London, will awaken your heart and rekindle your spirit this holiday season. This production of A Christmas Carol premiered to great acclaim in 2010 and features a script adapted by Mark Cuddy from Charles Dickens' novella with music and lyrics by Gregg Coffin, composer of Geva favorites, Five Course Love and Convenience.

The girls with big skirts, big voices and big dreams are back with another musical trip down memory lane! Following last year's production of The Marvelous Wonderettes, Geva Theatre Center presents The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns. Written and created by Roger Bean with vocal and musical arrangements by Michael Borth, The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns is directed by Melissa Rain Anderson with musical direction by Don Kot and will be performed in the Fielding Stage from December 7 to December 24.

Geva Theatre Center's production of The Agitators: The Story of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass, written by Mat Smart and directed by Logan Vaughn, was the best-selling world premiere and one of the best-selling dramas overall in the theatre's 45-year history. The thrilling artistic partnership of Hothouse Flowers frontman Liam Maonla and Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Cassandra Wilson, forged at the Irish Arts Center's 2016 Ireland Rising concert and deepened in the Center's acclaimed Masters in Collaboration residency program last November, will tour to Dublin's Olympia Theatre (November 3), Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles (November 8) and The Old Town School in Chicago (November 10) followed by an exclusive return engagement to Irish Arts Center in New York City (November 12). A stellar ensemble of top Irish, folk, and jazz musicians from both sides of the Atlantic will join Maonla and Wilson in these special performances.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced the complete cast of The New York premiere of Anna Ziegler's new play The Last Match, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch. The cast includes Wilson Bethel as 'Tim,' Alex Mickiewicz as 'Sergei,' Natalia Payne as 'Galina' and Zoe Winters as 'Mallory.'

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center's  Board of Directors welcomes several new leaders while saying thank you to a number of retiring board members. Tim Bergstrom, Rebecca Dunphey, Tim Fliss, Wilson Jones and Scott Teerlinck will fill vacancies created by retiring board members Sheri Edison, John Hogerty, Mike Hsu and Mark Loper.

Actor Wilson Cruz has just announced over Twitter that he will be joining the cast of the upcoming series STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. Cruz is known for roles on projects such as THIRTEEN REASONS WHY, THE FINDER, and GREY'S ANATOMY. On stage, he is known for his role as Angel in RENT.

On August 4, Dan Wilson will release Re-Covered, a unique album that finds the Grammy-winning songwriter reinterpreting songs from his storied career that he wrote for and with other artists. The album, which marks his third solo studio release, is now available for pre-order
