Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT)'s Executive Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan announces an update to CPT's 2021/2022 Season.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“The Alliance”), one of the state's largest arts service organizations, premieres “Opening Right Stories”, a series of video and written stories from New Jersey theatre artists and audiences members about their experiences during the pandemic, what they've missed about live theatre, and what they are looking forward to when they return.

The second play in First Stage's fall 2021 Amplify -BIPOC Short Play Series will be STEP KIDS, a new one-act musical by Tyrone L. Robinson and Postell Pringle with orchestrations by Wilkie Ferguson and drums by Deonte Malique Ellis.

The Black Theatre Network (BTN) kicks off its 35th annual conference today, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, with a series of programs that include a keynote address by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson.

Durango PlayFest today announced the actors who will headline three plays being developed at its new works festival, as well as the directors for each play. The August 5-8 event brings nationally recognized actors, playwrights and directors to Durango to incubate new plays, hold events for the community, and culminate the week with staged readings.

Victory Gardens Theater will hold a series of Town Halls to introduce Ken-Matt to the VG community and share news about Victory Gardens’ future. The first event, “Ask Me Anything with Ken-Matt Martin” will be held on Zoom on August 2, 2021, from 6:00-7:15pm Central.

Center Theatre Group in association with UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television present “32 Acres,” a new uniquely enveloping outdoor soundwalk through Los Angeles State Historic Park offered July 14 through September 29, 2021, during park hours (8 am through sunset) at no cost through a free app in the Apple and Google app stores.

First Stage has announced that Samantha D. Montgomery has been promoted to the newly created position of Artistic Inclusion and Community Engagement Director. Montgomery has held a long tenure with First Stage, working in many capacities including resident teaching artist, director and actor. She assumed her new role as of July 1, 2021.

Center Theatre Group is marking the ninth anniversary of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) with “WET: A DACAmented Journey” written and performed by Alex Alpharaoh and directed by Brisa Areli Muñoz. Alpharaoh's deeply personal work will be available free to the public on the Center Theatre Group's Digital Stage.

Crossroads Festival Theatre consists of two installments: Fall Festival and Spring Festival, running September 22 – October 10, and June 7 to June 26, 2022, respectively.
