Pulitzer Prize finalist Madeleine George, director Leigh Silverman, and cast members Mia Barron, Becca Blackwell, Nikiya Mathis, Danielle Skraastad, and Kate Wetherhead present highlights from George's new work Hurricane Diane, a co-production between New York Theatre Workshop and WP Theater. The production features Diane, a permaculture gardener dripping with butch charm and supernatural abilities owing to her true identity-the Greek god Dionysus. Diane returns to the modern world to restore the Earth to its natural state, taking to her suburban New Jersey cul-de-sac, and leading a bacchanalian catharsis with her neighboring suburban housewives.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its fall 2018 season, which includes new dance and music commissions, and a gala featuring a revival performance of a Works & Process Rotunda Project in the Guggenheim's iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed space. Harlem9 presents the Obie Award Winning 48HOURS IN... HARLEM - a twist on the traditional 24-hour play festival. This event marks the 8th year of the collaborative Harlem9 bringing together 6 playwrights, 6 directors, and 18 actors.  Playwrights will re-imagine African Folktales into 10-minute plays over the course of one weekend.

Today, The Collaborator Party, headed by theatrical sound designers Lindsay Jones and John Gromada, announced that their event was a complete sell-out for the fourth year in a row. The Collaborator Party is the official Tony night party for the entire theatre community. The main party was held June 10, 2018 at Houston Hall (222 W. Houston St. in New York City) from 7pm-11pm, with additional parties held simultaneously in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and southern Indiana.

Westport Country Playhouse will open its 2018 Season with an uplifting tale of bravery, pride, and sisterhood, "Flyin' West," written by Pearl Cleage and directed by Seret Scott, playing May 29 through June 16.  This year marks the historic theater's 88th season.
