The OffWestEnd Awards (Offies) have revealed their 2026 nominations, highlighting the best in independent theatre. The awards showcase a range of emerging and established talent in the Off-West End scene.

Loosely based on Anthony Quinn’s novel Curtain Call but featuring a different premise, The Critic is a solid, witty black comedy before seamlessly shifting into a chic crime drama.

The Max Original comedy STARSTRUCK, created by comedian and writer Rose Matafeo, has been renewed for a third season by HBO Max and co-producer BBC Three. The series is co-written by Matafeo, Alice Snedden and Nic Sampson, with Matafeo and Snedden also directing.

Lorien Haynes’s Good Grief is hard to pin down. Half comedy, half drama, a bit of theatre with a dash of film. Short enough that it doesn’t become stale, but suitably long to paint an impeccable blueprint of loss.
