Presented in partnership between the Kennedy Center, American Dance Movement (formally the Dizzy Feet Foundation), and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), this annual event invites everyone of all ages and abilities, from the littlest dancers to professionals, to participate in a free day-long celebration of the joy of dance and movement.
IFC announced today that the network has partnered with Mad Decent to drop the official soundtrack for its upcoming variety sketch series Sherman's Showcase, premiering Wednesday, July 31st at 10pm ET/PT. Sherman's Showcase (Original Soundtrack), featuring full-length versions of the songs from the series, is set for digital release on August 9 via Mad Decent, the Los Angeles-based record label founded by Thomas Wesley Pentz, better known as Diplo. The soundtrack will also be available on vinyl later this summer.

American Dance Movement (ADM), formerly the Dizzy Feet Foundation, has announced a new date for National Dance Day, to be celebrated annually on the third Saturday of September. The move will begin this year, on Saturday, Sept. 21. Recognized by Congress as a national day of dance, NDD promotes dance as a form of valuable exercise and of artistic expression.
The first round of auditions begin on the 16th season of the hit dance competition series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, as highly-skilled dancers between the ages of 18 and 30 showcase their talents in various dance styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation, breaking and more. Those who are selected to move on to the SYTYCD studio will work with world-renowned choreographers and compete each week for America's votes in a variety of styles.
