The Broadway League Foundation has revealed the 96 nominees who will be arriving to New York City to compete for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress as well as other honors and scholarships at the 14th annual Jimmy Awards® ceremony.

Opera North’s popular Refugee Week Session returns to the Howard Assembly Room on Thursday 22 June, bringing together sounds from ancient Persia and modern Iran, a Halifax-based band with members from across the globe, and spoken word.

The North American touring cast is led by Naomi Rodgers (Frozen) and Zurin Villanueva (The Lion King, Mean Girls, Shuffle Along, The Book of Mormon) who will evenly share the role of Tina Turner, each playing four (of eight) performances a week. The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County will greet nearly 200 guests at their Seventh Annual Daniel E. Offutt III Arts & Culture Empowerment (ACE) Awards, celebrating the community impact, quality, and diversity of arts and culture across Coastal Fairfield County. 

 Anchorage Concert Association, the state’s largest arts and entertainment presenter, has announced its full lineup of shows for the 2023/2024 season are on sale through subscription now.  All shows will be at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.  

The internationally esteemed Jupiter String Quartet –– winner of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the Banff International String Quartet Competition –– will be presented by the Bowdoin International Music Festival at Studzinski Recital Hall (12 Campus Road S.) in two performances on Monday, July 17 and Monday, July 24, 2023, in addition to the final concert on Friday August 4 at Crooker Theater (116 Maquoit Rd.). Each of the three performances, as well as the other concerts presented during the season, will be livestreamed at no charge.

The teaser trailer video for the Waitress live capture has been released! “Waitress, the Musical - Live on Broadway!” will have its world premiere tonight at the Tribeca Festival. Simultaneously, it will be broadcast onto TSX Entertainment’s 18,000-square-foot digital screen overlooking Times Square for the first time in festival history.

WAITRESS, which has already sold over 5 million tickets worldwide, will be adapted and performed in French for the first time during the summer of 2024!
