PlayGround Presents The 4th Annual INNOVATORS SHOWCASE, Celebrating Works By The Newest Bay Area Theatre Companies!

PlayGround has announced the programming lineup for the 4th annual INNOVATORS SHOWCASE, featuring new works by the 2022 Innovator Incubator Cohort: Analog Theatre, The Chikahan Company, City Street Artists, Juneteenth Theatre Justice Project, Latinx Mafia, Native Writers' Theater, Poltergeist Theatre Project, Oakland Public Theater and Theatre Cultura.

PlayGround Announces 29th Season Of New Plays & Playwrights

PlayGround, California's leading playwright incubator and theatre community hub, has announced its 29th season, including the return of the celebrated Monday Night PlayGround staged reading series on third Mondays,* October - March, in-person this year at Berkeley's Freight & Salvage and live simulcast.

GREEN DAY'S AMERICAN IDIOT Extends Through August 21 at Chance Theater

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company has announced that the regional premiere of the 2009 punk rock opera, “Green Day's American Idiot” will be extending thru August 21 on the Cripe Stage at the Bette Aitken theater arts Center. 

American Blues Theater to Present Reading of 17 MINUTES by Scott Organ

American Blues Theater, under the continued leadership of Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside, will present a live, online reading of 17 MINUTES by Scott Organ, directed by Michael Cotey as part of “The Room” series. The reading will be live on Monday, June 27 at 7pm.

Cast Announced for FENCES at American Blues Theater

American Blues Theater has announced the cast of August Wilson’s Fences, directed by Monty Cole. The intimate and up-close production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama will play to a capacity of 60 people per performance from July 1-August 6, 2022, at Theater Wit,1229 W. Belmont Ave.

FANCY NANCY, THE MUSICAL Returns to Chance Theater

Chance Theater, Anaheim’s official resident theater company, announces its 5th production of “Fancy Nancy, The Musical” the stage adaptation of the best-selling series of books by Jane O’Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser. The 2012 play by Susan DiLallo (book and lyrics) and Danny Abosch (music) is the second show in the venue’s 2022 TYA Family Series and is suited for all age groups. 

Williamston Theatre Presents The NNPN Rolling World Premiere Of TRACY JONES

Mid-Michigan’s award-winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, presents Tracy Jones by Stephen Kaplan as part of a. National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Performances for this funny and touching play begin Thursday, May 19 and run through Sunday, June 19. Tickets are now on sale.

The American Theatre Wing Gala to Return In-Person After Two Year Hiatus

The American Theatre Wing has announced that it will honor the legacy of actor, director, and activist Antoinette “Tony” Perry alongside the past, present, and future women+ of the theatre at its annual Gala, which will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street).

JEKYLL & HYDE Comes to Greenwich Theatre This Month
