The Exponential Festival presents and promotes experimental performances created by New York-based artists working across all mediums. The works will premiere this January on Exponential's YouTube channel for a suggested donation, with 100% of proceeds going to the artists.

Mabou Mines, the esteemed experimental theater company, and Weathervane Productions, in association with Philip Glass' Days and Nights Festival, add free documentary film screening and Promenade concert performance, and announce complete casting for a unique upcoming celebration of legendary playwright and director María Irene Fornés. The February 21-March 7 engagement centers on the New York premiere of Philip Glass' transformation of her five-page play Drowning into an opera and a version of Fornés' acclaimed Mud. JoAnne Akalaitis directs these two intimate productions-both with new music composed by Glass-at Mabou Mines (150 First Avenue).
New Site-Specific Choral Movement Work THE GAUNTLET Coming To Rockefeller Center

On August 3, across Rockefeller Center's outdoor plazas, the immersive, site-specific choral and movement piece The Gauntlet will bathe thousands of people in waves of harmony, poetry and gesture, performed by a chorus of hundreds of singers from across all five boroughs of New York City. An intimate, personal experience in the heart Manhattan, audiences will be led through musical corridors of sonic architecture formed by the human voice.
