Celebrity Series of Boston Presents Regina Carter's SOUTHERN COMFORT, 10/17

Celebrity Series of Boston will present Regina Carter's Southern Comfort on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 8:00pm at Sanders Theatre, Memorial Hall, Harvard University, 45 Quincy Street, Cambridge. This performance is sponsored by Donna and Mike Egan. Additional support is provided by the Expeditions program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional support from the six New England start art agencies.

Tail! Spin!, the outrageously entertaining verbatim reenactment of four recent preposterous sex scandals, begins performances Thursday, September 18 at the Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street), ahead of an official opening on Wednesday, October 1 at 7pm. The cast of Tail! Spin! features Arnie Burton (39 Steps, Peter and the Starcatcher), Rachel Dratch ('Saturday Night Live'), Sean Dugan (Next Fall, 'Smash'), Tom Galantich ('House of Cards')and Nate Smith (UCB, FunnyOrDie.com). The Frist Center for the Visual arts will open Young Tennessee Artists: 2010 Statewide Advanced Placement Studio Art Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, in the Conte Community Arts Gallery. This third bi-annual exhibition showcases the artwork of 33 high school students who were enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) Studio Art programs throughout Tennessee in 2010. The 40 drawings, paintings, photographs and mixed-media works represent eleven schools and were chosen from seven hundred submissions from across the state. The exhibition, organized by the Frist Center, will continue through April 10, 2011.
