Today, during the Hulu Press Tour, Hulu presented the company's lineup of upcoming original programming including semi-animated comedy series Woke starring Lamorne Morris; No Man's Land, the dramatic tale of the Syrian civil war; and the second season of Pen15, a middle school comedy set in the early 2000s starring Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine. The three Hulu Originals showcased today will join the company's growing slate of premium Original content, following a successful year of back-to-back new hits such as Little Fires Everywhere, Palm Springs, Solar Opposites, The Great, Normal People and more.  

BendFilm announced today a lineup full of creative ways to see films outside in the comfort of a car or in the open air of Tin Pan Alley. Films in the lineup are a wide range of adventure stories, throwback classics, music documentaries, blockbusters and more.  Several screenings have filmmaker Q&As or post film discussions planned.  In addition to the in-person screenings, BendFilm will continue to offer virtual rentals of new release films through the Tin Pan Theater.  New titles are listed each week at TinPanTheater.com. 

Ugly Delicious is back for a second season! The critically-acclaimed Netflix Original Documentary series from James Beard Award-Winning Chef David Chang and Academy Award-Winner Morgan Neville returns on March 6th. Special guests include Nick Kroll, Aziz Ansari, Padma Lakshmi, food writers Helen Rosner and Chris Ying, Danny McBride, Bill Simmons, and Dave Choe.

Focus Features has acquired the worldwide rights to Miranda July's Kajillionaire, which premiered to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival. Written and directed by July, who won multiple awards at the Cannes Film Festival for Me and You and Everyone We Know including the Critics Week Grand Prize, the Prix Regards Jeune and the Camera d'Or, Kajillionaire stars Golden Globe® nominated Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld), Golden Globe® winner Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Academy Award® nominated Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water), and Academy Award® nominated Debra Winger (The Lovers, Terms of Endearment). Producers are Plan B Entertainment's Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, and Youree Henley. Plan B Entertainment's Brad Pitt, Annapurna's Megan Ellison, and Jillian Longnecker executive produced. Focus Features will distribute the film in the U.S. and Universal Pictures International will distribute internationally.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. Preceding the 62nd Annual GRAMMY AWARDS telecast, the Premiere Ceremony was hosted by two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Imogen Heap and featured a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Performers included classical violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz legend Chick Corea, folk music supergroup I'm With Her, West African sensation Angélique Kidjo and Best New Artist nominee Yola.

Netflix has released the trailer for Taylor Swift's documentary, Miss Americana. Miss Americana is a raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice.

Focus Features is set to partner with writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson on his untitled new film.  Anderson and Focus Features collaborated on his last feature Phantom Thread, which garnered 6 Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture, Director for Anderson, Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis, Supporting Actress for Lesley Manville, Score for Jonny Greenwood and Costume Design for Mark Bridges, which he went on to win.  Longtime collaborators JoAnne Sellar and Daniel Lupi will produce this new project along with Anderson.

Humanitarian organization FilmAid International is poised to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a benefit event on Nov. 6, honoring veteran film executive and Participant CEO David Linde with the 2019 Richard C. Holbrooke Memorial Award for Dedication to Humanitarian Service. The event also launches a new phase of FilmAid as a project of Internews: an innovative, international non-profit dedicated to empowering local media and expanding freedom of expression around the world. CNN Films, HBO Max, and Focus Features are partnering for a documentary film about the uncommon life of the late storyteller, explorer, and chef, Anthony Bourdain, to be directed and produced by Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom). Focus Features will first release the documentary exclusively in theaters worldwide before the film premieres on television on CNN and streams via HBO Max. CNN Films and HBO Max will executive produce the film. Neville's Tremolo Productions will produce the film.

Today the International Documentary Association invited Disney+ to give the documentary filmmaking community an inside look at the highly-anticipated streaming service's nonfiction content strategy, including announcing the following titles and filmmakers:

From James Beard Award-Winning Chef David Chang and Academy Award-Winner Morgan Neville, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner follows Chang as he travels around the world  accompanied by a different celebrity guest including: Seth Rogen, Chrissy Teigen, Lena Waithe, and Kate McKinnon.  Each episode explores a single city, its culture and its cuisine and as Chang and his friends learn about each city, they also uncover new and surprising things about themselves.
