Lively McCabe Entertainment announces that it has inked a deal with Round Hill Music, a full-service, creative music company with a core focus on music publishing.  The deal grants the company, recently launched by producer Michael Barra, access to Round Hill Music's catalogue of music and artists to package into new entertainment projects.  Lively McCabe Entertainment will package and produce projects in which the music is instrumental to the storytelling -- as opposed to solely serving as the soundtrack. The projects will span across various media platforms, including the live stage, as well as television series, films, digital media, and book publishing.

The Country Music Association visited Chicago yesterday, Tuesday, July 24, with Illinois native Brett Eldredge and fellow songwriters Ross Copperman, Tom Douglas, Heather Morgan and Jordan Reynolds, joining the CMA Foundation and U.S. Bank to visit students at Chicago's Notes for Notes studio followed by a sold-out CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank performance at Joe's on Weed Street. 

More artists have been announced to perform at the Chillin' on the Lucie music festival in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Oct. 3 - 7. Uncle Kracker has joined the roster, as well as Cassadee Pope, Parmalee, Josh Gracin, Clare Dunn, Kalie Shorr, Hudson Moore and Lewis Brice. Twang and Round, Radio Romance, Julia Cole, Honey County, County Wide and Libby Switzer are also set to perform. Today, GRAMMY nominated Country singer/songwriter Camannounces her Road to Happiness Tour coming this fall featuring special guest, British singer/songwriter, Lucie Silvas. This will be Cam's biggest headlining tour to date and kicks off on September 26 at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN wrapping on October 23rd at the Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO.

The Country Music Association's critically acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance at Joe's Bar on Weed Street in Chicago Tuesday, July 24 at 8:00 PM featuring Illinois native Brett Eldredge as well as Ross Copperman, Tom Douglas and Jordan Reynolds. The series hosts intimate performances with some of Country Music's most exciting songwriting talent taking turns telling the stories behind their hit songs and performing them in the raw as originally written. The Sourland Mountain Music Festival is about to explode! After 14 years growing from a small gathering at Hillbilly Hall to a festival large enough to be held on a Polo field on top of the Sourland Mountains, the 2018 Festival promises to be the best ever. For the third consecutive year, Miranda Lambert's MuttNation Foundation will be entertaining CMA Fest fans with Music City's cutest canines, all available for adoption to caring, qualified families. Partnering with Nashville Humane Association, MuttNation will have adorable adoptables available each day from11-3pm at the MuttNation rig located inside the Music City Center. Bev Lambert, Miranda's mom and co-founder of MuttNation Foundation, will be on-site to have photos taken with each adopting family. With MuttNation's support, more than 100 shelter dogs have been rescued by country music fans at CMA Fest over the past two years. 

Brent Cobb has announced a UK and European tour for September. The Grammy nominated singer-songwriter will play twelve dates around Europe, including five shows in the UK.

Award-winning songwriters will convene on Capitol Hill tomorrow, May 17, to meet with elected officials as part of the annual American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers' (ASCAP) 'Stand with Songwriters' Advocacy Day. They will ask senators to cosponsor the Music Modernization Act, the bipartisan music reform bill that passed unanimously in the U.S. House of Representatives on April 25 and was recently reintroduced in the Senate.

On Wednesday, May 16, The ASCAP Foundation and The Library of Congress will jointly present the 10th annual “We Write the Songs” event at the historic Coolidge Auditorium in The Library of Congress in Washington, DC. The evening celebrates the gift by The ASCAP Foundation to the Library of Congress of the original manuscripts, lead sheets, lyrics sheets, photos and letters of some of America's greatest creators of words and music.
