The REV Theatre Company has released production photos from A BRONX TALE. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Brett Smock, the musical features a score by Alan Menken and Glen Slater and is now playing at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, New York.

This new approach to the storytelling of Hadestown helped make me appreciate some of the compromises on the tour. And to further appreciate what they still maintained from the first tour and Broadway production. The set’s slightly modified (Hades’ door is more centered, for one), but we get to keep the band onstage. We get that dingy café feeling through the layout. We hold on to the iconic props – the rose, the candle, the guitar, the lamps – as well as the steampunk design of the costumes. The Workers are still a core five that inhabit both worlds and create their own, unspoken storylines through their movement and couplings. And the characters themselves are still the same, timeless figures that make Hadestown always feel like a new experience every time.
Francois & The Rebels: A Punk Rock Ritual will be presented as part of the Joe’s Pub Working Group artistic program at The Public Theater, with co direction by Troy Anthony (Pericles), and a book, music, and lyrics by Queer Afro-Latino playwright and award winning activist Jaime Cepero.
The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC)’s 2024-25 season will conclude with the musical adaptation of Little Women June 6-8 at THE BLACK BOX. Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March.
The Tony- and Grammy-winning Best Musical Hadestown will play for six performances at the Harris Center for the Arts from December 12-15.
This weekend through Sunday, November 10th, Broadway San Diego will take you to hell and back with the fantastic touring production of the musical “Hadestown.”
Hadestown, the winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will return to San Diego this Fall.
