Rupert Friend will star in Separation, directed by William Brent Bell and written by Nick Amadeus and Joshua Braun.  The film is produced by Bell together with Yale Productions' Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, Russ Posternak and Jesse Korman, and RainMaker's Clay Pecorin and Russell Geyser.   Executive producers are Seth Posternak and Dennis Rice.  Yale Productions' Jon Keeyes serves as a Co-Producer.

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), the nation's premier member organization of independent storytellers, announced today the nominees for the 28th Annual IFP Gotham Awards. Ten competitive awards will be presented to independent features and series. In addition to the competitive awards, Gotham Tributes will be given to actors Rachel Weisz and Willem Dafoe, director Paul Greengrass, and the Gotham Industry Tribute to Jon Kamen.

The actors join Academy Award-winner Ellen Burstyn and Academy Award-nominee James Caan in this Mean Girls meets “Golden Girls” romantic comedy. The Astute Films production is currently filming in Atlanta.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Scott Lang / Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne / Wasp. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the sequel to 2015's Ant-Man, and the twentieth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Corkscrew Theater Festival presents the world premiere of The End of Mermaids, written by Anya Richkind and directed by Allison Benko. Running July 12-22, The End of Mermaids is a sinister comedy about a group of women striving to achieve true beauty through their performances at a failing mermaid theme park, while under siege from an impatient, hungry alligator. Artistic Director Lee Mikeska Gardner embraces the mission of The Nora Theatre Company to "promote the feminine voice" with an all-male production of LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES, Christopher Hampton's 1985 adaptation from the novel by Choderlos de Laclos. Perhaps best known from the 1988 film DANGEROUS LIAISONS, which starred Glenn Close, John Malkovich, and Michelle Pfeiffer, the pre-French revolution era story is decadent, delicious, overflowing with sexual intrigue, and populated with characters who mostly get what they deserve. In Gardner's retelling, the audience gets what it deserves, a thoroughly entertaining, albeit mildly risque, evening at the theater.
