John Leguizamo, Danny DeVito Join Cast of HARRY HAFT

Danny DeVito, Vicky Krieps, Peter Sarsgaard, Saro Emirze, Dar Zuzovsky and John Leguizamo have joined the cast of Director BARRY Levinson's HARRY HAFT, which BRON Studios and New Mandate Films are producing in association with Creative Wealth Media. The film began production February 25 on location in Hungary and New York.

Award-winning actor Ben Foster (Leave No Trace, Hell or High Water) stars as Haft in the drama directed and produced by the Oscar-winner Levinson, who recently directed the acclaimed HBO films "Paterno" starring Al Pacino, and "The Wizard of Lies" starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The screenplay, written by Justine Juel Gillmer ("The 100" series), is based on the novel HARRY Haft: SURVIVOR of Auschwitz, Challenger of Rocky Marciano by Alan Scott Haft.
HARRY HAFT is being produced by New Mandate Film's Matti Leshem (The Shallows), BRON's Aaron L. Gilbert (The Front Runner, Tully, The Birth of a Nation), Jason Sosnoff (Paterno, The Wizard of Lies), BARRY Levinson and Scott Pardo (Hope & A Little Sugar). Creative Wealth Media's Jason Cloth (A Simple Favor, The Front Runner, Fences) is executive producer. Endeavor Content is handling worldwide sales.

HARRY HAFT is based on the true story of a man (Ben Foster), who is driven by his love of a woman to survive the unimaginable horrors of the German concentration camps. An SS Officer (Billy Magnussen) forces HARRY to fight to the death against fellow prisoners in gruesome gladiatorial boxing matches. HARRY finally escapes and makes it to New York. Haunted by his memories and guilt over his survival, he fights boxing legends, like Rocky Marciano, in the hopes that his name will get noticed and he will find his first love again.

Danny DeVito appears in the hit series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and will be seen in the upcoming Dumbo. (CAA) His film career spans four decades and includes such films as Twins, Batman Returns, LA Confidential, and Tin Men, which was DeVito's first film with BARRY Levinson.


Vicky Krieps rose to international acclaim in Phantom Thread and was recently seen in The Girl in the Spider's Web. (Tavistock Wood).


Peter Sarsgaard's numerous credits include Jackie, Blue Jasmine, and the series "The Looming Tower." (WME, Anonymous Content)

Saro Emirze is a well-known German actor making his English language debut. (ACTORS garden).


Israeli actress Dar Zuzovsky appeared in the award-winning international series "Hostages." (CAA, Principal Entertainment) and is currently starring in the hit series "PAMTA" in Israel. She also stars in the upcoming series "Punch," which chronicles the RISE of Stand-Up in Tel Aviv in the '90s.

John Leguizamo most recently appeared on Broadway in the Tony-nominated "Latin History for Morons." He's known to movie audiences for such films as Moulin Rouge, John Wick and as THE VOICE of 'Sid the Sloth' in the popular animated Ice Age films. (UTA)


BRON is currently in post-production on the JayRoach directed Untitled Charles Randolph Project, starring Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman, John Lithgow, and Allison Janney. The BRON film The Mule from director/star Clint Eastwood was released this winter Warner Brothers.
