Noir continues to run as a mesmerizing, mysterious current through modern movies and music, and Errico has embraced it in her own artistic endeavors.

Songwriter Marilyn Bergman died at age 93 on January 8, 2022. Now, Barbra Streisand has paid tribute to the Bergmans in a new video on her YouTube channel, featuring clips and photos of them together.

According to deadline.com, Marilyn Bergman passed away at 1:15 this morning in her Los Angeles residence. Her husband and musical collaborator, Alan Bergman, and daughter, Julie Bergman, were at her bedside. At the age of 93, the award-winning lyricist and seventeen-time Oscar nominee died of non-Covid related respiratory problems.

Legendary icon, Barbra Streisand, recently announced that her new album, Release Me 2, will be available on Friday, August 6th. Streisand's first Release Me album debuted in September 2012, and contained tracks recorded between her 1967 Simply Streisand and 2011 What Matters Most albums. Featuring a personal collection of songs, written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Barry Gibb, Paul Williams, Randy Newman, Michel Legrand and Alan & Marilyn Bergman, Harold Arlen and Carole King, this 10-track compilation brilliantly showcases the vulnerability and beauty of the human spirit – chock full of honest truths and gratitude for the simple pleasures.

Sally Wilfert is the kind of singer you just want to listen to all night. She has a crystalline tone that’s clear as a bell. She’s capable of belting without being in your face about it and being soft while still always being present. She’s a great storyteller who takes on characters without losing her own unique personality. She is, in short, a cabaret singer’s cabaret singer. She mixed up standards and show tunes with pop songs and easy listening. It’s not every singer that could get away with using “You Light Up My Life” as an encore, but somehow it just seemed very right.

The Bard Music Festival returns for its 31st season this August, with a rare and intensive two-week exploration of “Nadia Boulanger and Her World.” In twelve themed concert programs, performed live with limited in-person audiences, Bard examines Nadia Boulanger (1887–1979), the pioneering Parisian pedagogue, composer, conductor, pianist, organist and indomitable personality who shaped more than a generation of American musicians.

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release Release Me 2, a new collection of ten previously unreleased studio performances from the legendary Barbra Streisand, available Friday, August 6, 2021. 

Broadway, television and recording artist, Melissa Errico will perform two shows at Bucks County Playhouse as part of recently announced Broadway Spotlight Concert Series.  Entitled, “Ladies of the Playhouse”, performances will be held at Bucks County Playhouse on Thursday, June 3 at 7:30pm and Friday, June 4 at 8pm. Tickets are $40.
