THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present Tony Award-nominee Sharon McNight in “Surviving Cabaret,” a storied look back at the last forty years of notable performances, on Thursday, April 13 and Saturday, April 15, both at 7:00 PM.

In between writing violin concertos, chamber music and other pieces for classical ensembles of various sizes, the highly sought-after composer puts on his jazz pianist hat, records GRAMMY® award-winning jazz albums, and plays the world’s leading clubs, concert halls and festivals with his exceptional jazz groups.

Jazz music will be blooming this spring on both stages at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. The Chester County performing arts venue is set to welcome multiple artists to its two intimate settings, hosted by Sara Michaels and the Jazz Cocktail Hour Series.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present drag royalty Lady Bunny in a new show “Don’t Bring the Kids,” an hour of jokes and demented song parodies, for four nights: Tuesday, April 4 at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, April 11 at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, April 19 at 9:30 PM; and Tuesday, April 25 at 7:00 PM. 

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the New York solo concert debut of Jade Jones, the musical theater sensation who made national headlines for the hit Washington, D.C. production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast – in the new show “Killin Em Softly: A Seventies Soirée” on Monday, March 13 at 7:00 PM.

Madison Lyric Stage, a professional theater company serving the Connecticut shoreline, announced that its 2023 mainstage season will feature: Tony Kushner's groundbreaking play Angels in America: Part I, Millennium Approaches in June; Duncan Sheik and Stephen Sater's electrifying rock musical Spring Awakening in July; and Climb Every Mountain: An Evening of Rodgers & Hammerstein in September.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present John Hill and Danny Visconti in two performances of their new show “Hair and Teeth” on Friday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 15, both at 9:30 PM.

For the 2nd year, the Châtelet Musical Club is growing, inviting artists from different countries and backgrounds to share their love and talent for musical theater in the intimate grand foyer of the Théâtre du Châtelet, which, under the helm of Jean-Luc Choplin, has for the past decade been the new temple of musical theater, introducing the French to the genius of Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein (among others) and serving as the home for the first ever tryout in Paris with An American in Paris in 2014.

54 BELOW will welcome back cabaret icon Charles Busch in his new solo show My Foolish Heart on April 20 and 25 at 7pm.

Melissa Errico is starting a cult of the noir, and she wants you to join!

BIRDLAND THEATER will present George Abud and Katrina Lenk – who starred together in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Band’s Visit – in “Abud & Lenk: Swung” on Monday, March 6 at 7:00 PM.

Following two sensational nights in January, playing to packed houses and garnering a host of five-star reviews, Liza Pulman and her band return to The Other Palace this March with two extra performances of The Heart of It. 

BIRDLAND THEATER will present Melissa Errico for a special Valentine’s week engagement of “A Noir Romance” with nine shows from Friday, February 10 through Tuesday, February 14. Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, Monday at 8:30 PM, and Tuesday at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present Nicolas King – the celebrated pop and jazz vocalist on Thursday, February 9 at 8:30 PM.

During the first years of her professional career, Margot Sergent performed worldwide throughout her native France as a classically-trained harp player in national orchestras and chamber groups in prestigious venues such as Olympia, Carnegie Hall, and Wienermusikverein.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater has announced programming running January 16 through January 29. Performers appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Stacey Kent, Billy Hart Quartet, Adam Birnbaum Quartet, Scott Robinson's Octet and Tony Kadleck.
