2 GUYS & A DOLL DO BROADWAY Comes to Boca and Delray

Cabaret veteran, actress, singer, comedian and storyteller Sharon Ruben will bring her “Broadway Journey through life” production, 2 Guys and a Doll Do Broadway to the Delray Beach Playhouse and the Mizner Park Cultural Center on November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.  Joining her on stage will be two of South Florida's top talents, actor/director Jonathan Van Dyke, and actor/cabaret artist Michael Scott Ross.

Westport Country Playhouse to Stream Archival Shows MAN OF LA MANCHA and OF MICE AND MEN

Westport Country Playhouse has selected two HD videos from its archives of performances captured live on stage for streaming on demand. The Playhouse’s 2018 production of “Man of La Mancha,” the Tony Award-winning musical following Don Quixote’s quest for “The Impossible Dream,” will stream on-demand from Monday, August 23-Sunday, September 5.

Blumenthal Performing Arts in association with Right Angle Productions, welcomes 8 actors, many local to the Charlotte-area, portray characters popularized by the hit TV show The Office in the new, immersive walking parody show The Office! A Murder Mystery Parody: Who is the Scranton Strangler?, running May 20 through June 6 in Uptown Charlotte.

The Office! A Musical Parody is among the first Off-Broadway shows to resume performances after live theatre shuttered due to the pandemic over a year ago. The show officially resumed performances (at 33% reduced capacity) on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 7:30PM in the Jerry Orbach Theater at The Theater Center (210 West 50th Street).

Joyah Love Spangler will be joining the cast of The Office! A Musical Parody, the unauthorized send-up of the hit TV series playing in the Jerry Orbach Theatre at The Theater Center. Ms. Spangler will be taking on the role that spoofs iconic TV boss, Michael Scott, replacing Sarah Mackenzie Baron who originated the role in the New York production. Her first performance will be on Thursday, March 12, 2020. The show's creators, Bob & Tobly McSmith implemented the gender-reversed casting decision in a bid to make the character's off-color humor and misogynistic language palatable in the #MeToo era - and it's worked quite well. The production continues to break Theater Center box office records and fans are posting all over social media - rejoicing that they still have a chance to see their favorite characters skewered in this spoof that Mashable calls a?oea boisterous, rejuvenating escape from reality that'll fill the void in your heart.a??

BWW Review: Washington National Opera's SAMSON AND DELILAH at the Kennedy Center

Bad haircuts can be tragic, but none more so than for Samson, the Biblical figure whose strength was sapped the moment his mullet was gone. The treacherous shearing by a revenge-seeking Delilah launched centuries of retelling, including Camille Saint-Saëns' opera 'Samson and Delilah' which the Washington National Opera is currently presenting at the Kennedy Center in repertoire with 'Don Giovanni.'
