Zippel Signs on to Northwestern American Popular Song Fest

The American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University, in association with the Johnny Mercer Foundation, has announced that Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated lyricist David Zippel will serve as one of the 'master teachers' for 'The Power of the American Popular Song' festival that will be held on the Evanston campus Aug. 7 through 12

Franc D'Ambrosio, who starred in the title role of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award winning musical The Phantom of the Opera for over six years, has just completed a special musical guest star appearance on the NBC Network special Brian Boitano's Skating Spectacular which first aired January 1, 2005 and has been scheduled for rebroadcast on January 29, 2005, 2:00 - 4:00 pm EST. In promotion of the special (preceding its first airing), Brian Boitano chose to perform to D'Ambrosio's extraordinary vocal rendition of 'What Kind of Fool Am I?' on The Today Show in late December, 2004.
