Oregon Children's Theatre (OCT) will present Celebrating Our Heroes: OCT's Season Opening Extravaganza & FUNdraiser on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2:00pm PST at the Newmark Theatre. The colorful event will feature several family-friendly and fun-filled events, including an exclusive premiere of OCT and TheaterWorksUSA's production of Dog Man: the Musical.
League of American Orchestras Announces Six New Board Members

Judy Dines, William L. Gettys, Leslie Lassiter, John Lofton, Michael R. Mayton, and Robert W. McDonald have joined the League of American Orchestras' Board of Directors; each will serve a three-year term. Lowell J. Noteboom, Steven C. Parrish, and Anne Parsons (deceased) were elected to the League’s Emeritus Board.

More than 800 guests filled NJPAC's Prudential Hall on Saturday, October 1, as the Arts Center hosted its first in-person Women@NJPAC Spotlight Gala in three years. The annual fundraiser drew arts lovers, Newark advocates and NJPAC supporters together to celebrate the Arts Center's 25th anniversary season and to raise $2.2 million for NJPAC's extensive arts education and community engagement programs.

Not to get carried away, but in this current political storm that appears to put women on defense, it's heartening to find sisterhood as an emerging national motif. The underrated monolith is galvanizing to topple a perverse establishment - and LEGALLY BLONDE, with its tongue-in-cheek, goofy affectations, is no less a clarion call for a political makeover. Whether or not the connection was a conscious part of the selection, the choice turns out to be a prescient one.
