Twenty years ago, a group of Walt Disney World cast members decided they wanted to put their talents to good use beyond their roles within the theme parks. Inspired by an Andrew Lloyd Webber 'Birthday Concert' in which stars got together to celebrate the acclaimed composer, they likewise set out to create a concert setting - all on their own time and dime - to help benefit the Central Florida community they call home. What began as a contingent of nearly seventy players has expanded and grown over the next two decades as hundreds of members come and go at their leisure, based upon the time they can give and the talent they can share. In a world filled with uncertainty and strife, it's a blessing that something as inherently good and selfless as Encore! Performing Arts continues to thrive.

The Book Thief is a title which makes people’s eyes light up. It’s one of those novels which lingers in the reader’s memory – an epic, time-shifting tale of war, death, kindness and the power of words.

“Man’s Red Fire” sets the tone for an album with the band’s signature rock n’ roll sound, combined with heavy influences of Ennio Morricone and driving percussion. The recording features Ian McDonald (Farfisa keys), Elliott Peck and Zola (high-octave vocalists), Marcus Stephens (horns),  Mario Silva (trumpet), and Danny Lubin-Laden (trombone).

The Cliburn has announced the new details of the eighth edition of the Cliburn International Amateur Piano Competition, for non-professional pianists age 35 and older. Originally scheduled for May 2020 and postponed due to the pandemic, the Amateur Competition will now take place October 12–18, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Roundabout Youth Ensemble, an after-school and summer program for NYC public high schools, will present the world premiere of the new play I Scream, You Scream by Lia Spahn directed by Christopher Etienne at Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre on Saturday, August 13th (2 pm & 7pm) and Sunday, 14th (2 pm).
