Open-Door Playhouse presents short plays online, in podcast form. Now that the holiday season is upon us, the company has selected five of its plays for your listening pleasure.

The latest standings as of Monday, December 5th, have been released for the 2022 BroadwayWorld West Virginia Awards! Nominations were reader-submitted and now our readers get to vote for their favorites.

The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was presented by Beth Leavel on Monday November 28th from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

Expertly directed by Joe Calarco with music direction by Vadim Feichtner, the marriage of the script with 12 songs was without any real bumps or potholes and is something that Scott should be able to take anywhere

Cherry Poppins presents their one-nighter XOXO Euphoria Girl – A Burlesque Musical Parody September 26, 2022, at The Bourbon Room. The team of Alli Miller-Fisher, Chadd McMillan and Sarah Haworth-Hodges direct this Burlesque musical parody mashup set to chart-topping music with the cast of: Ty Deran, Kristyn Evelyn, Everjohn Feliciano, Bianca Gisselle, Emma Hunton,  Carly Jibson, Janaya Mahealani Jones, Meredith Lim, Alli Miller-Fisher, Matthew Scott Montgomery, Shelly Regner, Sarah Wines, Lauren Avon and Brin Hamblin. Emma managed to carve out some time to answer a few of my queries.

Members of Paper Mill Playhouse's competitive Conservatory are directed and choreographed by Paper Mill Playhouse’s professional artistic staff in a fully produced, original concert titled A Whole New World: A Tribute to Alan Menken. The Mansion of Saratoga's 801 dinner concert series has a packed line up of top talent this season. Tomorrow night, Thursday July 7, popular R&B recording artist Morgan James will perform on the Mansion's great tented deck at 8 p.m.

Casting has been announced for week one of The Blank Theatre’s 30th Annual Young Playwrights Festival. Being presented as digital shorts, the first three of 12 winning plays by young playwrights aged 15–19 will be available to stream on Vimeo July 8–14.
