Casting has been announced for the UK and Ireland tour of Barnum, the classic Broadway musical by Cy Coleman (music), Michael Stewart (lyrics) and Mark Bramble (book) that celebrates the life of the world's greatest showman, P.T. Barnum.

Due to huge demand, the tour will be extending into the autumn of next year, with Matt Rawle reprising his critically acclaimed performance in the title role, first seen at the Watermill Theatre in 2024.

With the Jamie Lloyd production of Evita in the works, we're revisiting some of the most iconic Evas to grace the stage and screen, from Elaine Paige to Patti LuPone, most recently Auli'i Cravalho, and of course, Madonna.

The Watermill’s dazzling production fully immerses the audience into the showman’s wondrous world in spite of its inherent script issues. With an all-round talented cast led by the ever charismatic Matt Rawle, you’d be justified if you wanted to run away and join the circus after watching this.
