Last Sunday, the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beach Gardens (MCCPB), the largest faith-based community in Palm Beach County dedicated to serving the local LGBT community and its family members and friends, observed World AIDS Day with special guest preacher Mary Fisher, a gifted artist, a relentless advocate for vulnerable women, and a mother whose AIDS and cancer have heightened her sense of joy and purpose.

STREEPSHOW!, written by Jay Stull, and directed by Andrew Neisler for The Tank's Save & Print series opens at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street, between Avenues A & B). STREEPSHOW! is the true story of 14 characters once played by Meryl Streep, picked to live in a house, and have their lives filmed to find out what happens when people stop being, oh I don't know, direct and start getting, well, breathy. In his STREEP TEASE, Roy Cruz has created an entertaining, all-male revue of Meryl Streep interpretators using actual (or actual-esque) dialogue from Ms. Streep's many films. With minimal use of props and just a hint of costume enhancements, this talented nine-membered Streepers perform some side-splitting scenes with a few serious ones thrown into the mix. Some Meryl Streep roles just seem more than ripe for parody, er, homage.

Digital entertainment curator FilmBuff previously announced that they would release the Russell Crowe-narrated documentary RED OBSESSION on VOD September 6 with exclusive theatrical engagements in New York and Miami with additional markets such as Los Angeles and San Francisco to follow.

Through a partnership with event-based distribution company AREA 23A, RED OBSESSION will open in theaters in New York and Miami on September 6, Chicago on September 7 and Los Angeles on September 13 with select cities across the US to follow.
