This weekend, COUNTRY MUSIC and bluegrass icon Ricky Skaggs returns to his home away from home, the Grand Ole Opry. For the past five weeks, amidst the current COVID-19 crisis and without an audience in attendance, the Grand Ole Opry has remained on the air as it has for 4,919 consecutive Saturday nights for nine decades.

Innsbrook After Hours announced that Chase Rice will perform at the SERVPRO of Richmond Pavilion on Saturday, August 15th and Steve Earle and Los Lobos will perform on Friday, September 4th. A limited number of early bird general admission tickets for each show will be available for one week from April 10 - 16..

Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform at Innsbrook After Hours 'one last time' on Thursday, July 23rd. Additional concerts for Innsbrook After Hours 35th season will be announced this week through the venue's social media channels and email . Tickets for these shows will go on sale this Friday March 27th at 10:00 AM at www.innsbrookafterhours.com.  A limited number of early bird general admission tickets for Lynyrd Skynyrd show will be available for one week (March 27-April 2) for $32.  

Currently on a West Coast tour, acclaimed Nashville-based singer/songwriter Michaela Anne today announces that she will hit the road with singer, songwriter and musician JD McPherson. Beginning April 23, Anne will bring her “captivating vocals” (Billboard) and “splendid album” (American Songwriter), Desert Dove, to life with performances in Louisville, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Toronto and New York City. Innsbrook After Hours announced that Tower of Power will perform at the SERVPRO of Richmond Pavilion on Thursday, July 9th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 28th at 10:00 AM at www.innsbrookafterhours.com. A limited number of early bird general admission tickets for both shows will be available for one week for just $16.

Neo-traditional country music artist and Alabama native, Shane Owens, will host the world famous Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree at the Troubadour Theatre on Saturday, February 22nd. Shane will take the airwaves by storm with a wide variety of songs from the classic sounds of country music, to brand new songs featured on his latest album, Thankful For Country Music. The Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree tapes at 10 P.M CT, airs live on 650-AM WSM, and worldwide online at Midnight CT. Saturday will mark the 3,801 broadcast of the Midnite Jamboree, the second longest running live radio show in history, following only the Grand Ole Opry.

Innsbrook After Hours announced that Aaron Lewis will perform June 24th at the SERVPRO of Richmond Pavilion, Get The Led Out will perform on August 6th, and Train will perform August 14th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 21st at 10:00 AM at www.innsbrookafterhours.com. A limited number of early bird general admission tickets for each show will be available for one week.

The AMERICANA TOUR is a 40-city summer tour that will start in Austin, TX, on June 13th, immediately after Miller is inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in New York on June 11th.

The Country Music Association presented industry honors at the Eighth Annual CMA Touring Awards Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, celebrating Country Music's most respected professionals from the 2019 touring season. Singer, songwriter, producer and 2017 CMA New Artist of the Year Jon Pardi hosted the evening. He shared humorous, supportive anecdotes throughout the program, recognizing his own road crew as well as this year's nominees. The event awarded 16 industry professionals, including Tony Conway, CEO of Conway Entertainment Group, who was honored with the CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award.

Charley Pride: I'm Just Me, a documentary about the life and career of legendary Country music superstar Charley Pride, will debut on CBC's documentary Channel on Wednesday, January 1 at 7:30 pm ET/4:30 pm PT as part of their All Day Music Marathon. It will repeat on Sunday, February 2 at 9:00 pm ET/PT.

Music icon Jerry Lee Lewis received a marker on the Mississippi Country Music Trail Thursday afternoon at The Lewis Ranch, his longtime home in Nesbit, Miss. The event was his first public appearance since a minor stroke in March of 2019 and signals a productive 2020 for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member. Almost 50 years into his remarkable career, John Prine will be honored by the Recording Academy as one of their 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients.

The Country Music Association will honor Conway Entertainment Group/Ontourage Management founder/owner Tony Conway with its 2019 CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Conway received the news during last week's CMA Board of Directors meeting in Nashville, where he received a standing ovation from Board members and CMA staff.  

Merle Haggard's memory lives on, thanks to his sons, Ben and Noel, whose national tour brings them to Arizona this weekend.

John Prine's new acoustic video for his song “Paradise,” featuring special guest Kelsey Waldon, premiered yesterday at Sounds Like Nashville. The song was recorded as part of the pair's new collaborative 7-inch vinyl, The Kentucky Sessions, which is included with each purchase of Waldon's new album White Noise/White Lines—out October 4 via Prine's independent label Oh Boy Records.

Three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning, Mississippi-born country artist Charley Pride will be the inaugural recipient of GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi's Crossroads of American Music Award at the Mississippi Museum's 2019 Gala on Friday, Nov. 1. Established by the Museum's Board of Directors, the Crossroads of American Music Award honors an artist who has made significant musical contributions influenced by the creativity born in the cradle of American music. Pride will appear at the Museum's 2019 Gala to accept the award on Nov. 1 at GRAMMY Museum Mississippi.

John Prine won two awards at last night's Americana Music Association Honors & Awards: Album of the Year (The Tree of Forgiveness) and Song of the Year (“Summer's End” written by Prine and Pat McLaughlin). The reigning 2017 and 2018 Americana Artist of the Year, Prine also performed “Angel From Montgomery” with Bonnie Raitt during last night's ceremony.
