Returning to the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, MA, the 11th annual event on Fourth of July weekend will once again offer an eclectic, family friendly mix of national and regional musical talent, curated gourmet food and beverage offerings, artisan goods for purchase, activities, skate demonstrations and more.
With ghostly lighting and flourishes of laughter, Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol can be highly recommended for its target audience of children under ten and for adults who may be looking for a break from their festive planning. A tasty plum pudding of a show with just enough holly on top.
The New York premiere of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, performed by Olivier Award winner Guy Masterson (Broadway's The Shark is Broken), and adapted and directed by Nick Hennegan, opens tonight at SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam St.) and runs through December 30.
What did our critic think of A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Avatar? It’s a delicious mishmash of dance, classic literature, and Christmas spirit. This adaptation of a great classic, complex and revised is a difficult show to summarize. Rather, it is a trigger to reflect, rethink and adapt. The first surprise was the skill level of the non-professional actors. Scrooge (Marcin Dawiec), Marley (Katarzyna Pawarska), and the entire dance and acting troupe were very convincing.
