stream.theatre is welcoming a new production of Mark Schoenfeld & Barri McPherson's BKLYN The Musical, starring Emma Kingston as Brooklyn, who has previously starred in Evita and In The Heights.

stream.theatre is adding even more shows to their platform through March and April including 4 exclusive digital premieres of major new productions. For drama fans, Shane Richie stars a new revival of Scaramouche Jones by Justin Butcher, which premieres on 26 March.

Dean Johnson directs Sejal Keshwala (Faith), Emma Kingston (Brooklyn), Newtion Matthews (Street Singer), Jamie Muscato (Taylor) and Marisha Wallace (Paradice), with musical direction from Leo Munby and video editing by Sam Diaz.

Just last night, October 21, BKLYN came back with a 15th Anniversary reunion concert for one-night-only. The company was led by Eden Espinosa (RENT, Wicked) as Brooklyn, Karen Olivo (Moulin Rouge, In the Heights) as Faith, and stage star Ramona Keller (The Public Theatre's Hercules, City Center's Little Shop of Horrors) as Paradice, with Tony Award nominee Will Swenson (Hair, Les Miserables) as Taylor Collins, Grammy Award nominee Quentin Earl Darrington (Once On This Island, CATS) as Streetsinger, Original Broadway cast members Julie Reiber (Come From Away), Horace V. Rogers (Tarzan), and Caren Lyn Tackett (High Fidelity).

Original Broadway cast members Julie Reiber (Come From Away), Horace V. Rogers (Tarzan), Caren Lyn Tackett (High Fidelity) will complete the cast, joining the previously announced Eden Espinosa (RENT, Wicked) as Brooklyn, Karen Olivo (Moulin Rouge, In the Heights) as Faith, and stage star Ramona Keller (The Public Theatre's Hercules, City Center's Little Shop of Horrors) as Paradice. Broadway musical, Brooklyn is to get its eagerly awaited European premiere at Greenwich Theatre from Friday 27 September - Saturday 19 October, 2019.

Part contemporary fairy tale/part modern day parable about lost love, missed chances and the cruelty of fate, Brooklyn: The Musical, is given a startlingly good production by Nashville's Street Theatre Company, with strong direction by Bakari King (the much-in-demand peripatetic - and multi-hyphenated - actor/singer/director/choreographer/producer/educator) and the consistently impressive performances by an ensemble of nine actors who bring the show to life with palpable vitality and remarkable commitment.

Street Theatre Company will perform the regional premier of Brooklyn: The Musical from October 26-November 10.

Brooklyn the Musical is one of those rare gems of a show that the back story of its creation can influence what you experience on stage. The duo behind the show, Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson were songwriting partners in the early 1980's and lost touch and about 20 years later, Mr. Schoenfeld was singing on the streets of Brooklyn when his old writing partner, Ms. McPherson ran into him and a new partnership was born, this time creating art out of life in Brooklyn.

Whether you call it trash, rubbish, or junk BROOKLYN: THE MUSICAL has tons of it and in a great way. With book, music, and lyrics by Mark Schoenfeld, and Barri McPherson, this musical takes place as a story within a story on a street corner under the Brooklyn Bridge. The inspiration for the show comes from real life experience of Schoenfeld.

Mark Danni, artistic director of TheatreZone, Naples' non-profit Equity professional theatre group in residence at the G&L Theatre in Naples, today unveiled his 10th anniversary season selections, continuing the theatre group's mission to bering the "lost treasures of Broadway" to Naples.
