Tonight, May 3, Talia Simone Robinson will become the first Black actor to play Zoe Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway full-time. Previously Zoe/Alana understudy, Robinson succeeds Gabriella Carruba, who played the role until May 1.

Ben Levi Ross was welcomed back to the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) on March 22, where he re-joined the Broadway company of Dear Evan Hansen as 'Evan Hansen.' Ross made his Broadway debut as a cover in Dear Evan Hansen in 2017, and went on to star as the original Evan in the first North American Tour.

This spring, the show will welcome back Ben Levi Ross, who earned critical acclaim when he originated the role of 'Evan Hansen' on the first North American tour after understudying the role on Broadway. Zachary Noah Piser, who has been part of the Dear Evan Hansen family since March 2019 and is currently the 'Evan' alternate on Broadway, will then become the first Asian American actor to step into the role full-time.

RETRO FACTORY, a project of Theatre C (Binding, The Who's Tommy, Martian Chronicles, Cotton Candy and Cocaine, and the upcoming Odd Man Out), is mounting VOULEZ-VOUS?, their latest installment in their #FlashbackFriday series. Like their debut, '1983 - the radical 80s dance party in June 2018 that paid homage to the late great Pyramid Club - this immersive theater event will be held at the 12,000 square-foot Plaxall Gallery.

Annie, based on the popular 1920s Harold Gray comic strip, Little Orphan Annie, is a seven-time Tony Award-winner and considered one of the most acclaimed musicals of all time. It features unforgettable hits like 'It's the Hard Knock Life,' 'Easy Street' and the iconic Broadway standard 'Tomorrow.' Just last night, the best of Broadway walked the red carpet in celebration of one of the most anticipated events of the theatrical season- MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala. Amazing is an adjective easily associated with Casa Manana's Broadway-caliber performances, especially considering their recent successes with WEST SIDE STORY, ROCK OF AGES, and notably their kick-ass apprentice production of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON. But despite a top-notch production team and an infinitely skilled cast, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT doesn't quite live up to its title.

Last night The Trevor Project hosted its 2017 TrevorLIVE New York gala at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. The event featured special performances by Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons and Broadway stars Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan.

The Trevor Project will present musician Dan Reynolds with the Trevor Hero Honoree, Deloitte with 20/20 Award, and marriage equality champion Edie Windsor with the Icon Award at the TrevorLIVE New York 2017 fundraiser to raise awareness of suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth. The event will also feature performances by Shoshana Bean, Dana Goldberg, Jeremy Jordan, and a special extended performance by Grammy Award-winning rock band, Imagine Dragons.
