The Ridgefield Playhouse invites you on a dazzling romp through Broadway musicals and the great dance numbers that made musical theatre history!

Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series presents DANCIN' BROADWAY on Saturday, February 25 at 8 p.m. and is partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa and Bruce Bennett Nissan. At 4 p.m. there will be a shortened performance appropriate for children and families, which is part of the Ridgefield Academy Family Series.

From Agnes De Mille to Bob Fosse to Jerome Robbins, iconic choreography has made stars of dancers and forged the path of Broadway musical theatre. Anyone who is a theatre, dance or Broadway fan will love DANCIN' BROADWAY - a multi-media extravaganza featuring leading Broadway dancers, from Chicago, American In Paris, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, Newsies, Guys and Dolls, and vocalists along with a live band performing in the styles of Broadway's most sensational show-off dances of the past century. Tony Award - wining celebrity choreographers, leading Broadway dancers and "gypsies" make video appearances to share fun and inspiring backstage stories and clips of their favorite blockbuster dance performances. Hear what it was like to works with legends such as Bob Fosse, Jerome Robbins and Bob Avian among others.

This high energy celebration of dance is Directed by Daniel C. Levine (Les Miserables, Chicago, Mamma Mia!), with Choreography by Mark Myars (Wicked, If/then) and Musical Direction by Bryan Perri (Wicked, Chaplin).

Keeping in line with its mission to introduce more New York City-quality performances to Ridgefield, The Ridgefield Playhouse and Ridgefield Magazine is bringing in current Broadway performers, as well as original cast members from Broadway productions to The Ridgefield Playhouse stage."
