Villanova Theatre has announced their public reading of not one, but two, 2021 Sue Winge Award-winning plays: The Invisible Ones by Aly Gonzalez and Laundry by Megan Schumacher, directed by Kimberly S. Fairbanks on Thursday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 4th at 8PM.

In preparation for returning to campus this fall, the leadership at Villanova Theatre worked tirelessly all summer to devise a course of action that would keep the graduate theatre program's mission alive and well while preserving the health and safety of artists and audiences. So when the university announced a new policy prohibiting public events on campus until further notice, they were ready to respond with flexibility and innovation.

Inspired by a real event and featuring a Grammy-nominated bluegrass score, Broadway's "Bright Star" tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and '40s. An uplifting theatrical journey that holds you tight in its grasp, with music that will have your toes tapping!

Robbie journeys from his childhood in India to the joys and struggles of growing up, pursuing his passion and raising a family. Entwined throughout is his cherished relationship with his father-and his father's haunted past. Light Years runs now thru March 4 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre.

Campbell, Mark Costello, and Bill D'Agostino, to premiere sweet, savory, and spicy works as part of the company's inaugural theatrical experience, #CocktailPlays.

In response to enthusiastic critical and audience reaction, Theater J is extending the run of its current production of Arthur Miller's Broken Glass by one week, to July 16. 

How do we identify ourselves? What role does fear play in shaping our lives? Do we ever confuse what we see in the news with what is actually happening in our daily comings and goings? In an era when news, be it real or fake, is omnipresent, Theater J's timely, well-acted production of Broken Glass explores the most complex of issues... identify.

From June 14-July 9, Theater J is producing Broken Glass, one of the only plays by Arthur Miller to directly incorporate Jewish characters and history.   The most recent major production of this 1994 drama was in 2011 in London, where critics gave it strong reviews.
