BWW Interview: IRT Playwright-in-Residence Wins Drama Award

James Still, the playwright-in-residence at the Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT), was announced as the 2020 Indiana Authors Awards Drama Winner for his trilogy The Jack Plays. The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award winners receive an award made from Indiana steel and limestone, a $5,000 cash prize, and the opportunity to make a $500 gift to an Indiana public library.

Opera America Announces Ten Inductees To The Newly Formed Opera Hall Of Fame 

OPERA America has announced the inaugural group of inductees to the Opera Hall of Fame. The Opera Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of outstanding living American artists, administrators, and advocates who have strengthened the art form and the field. It was established in 2020 on the occasion of OPERA America's 50th anniversary, a celebration of the progress of the industry over the past half-century.

Storyteller Donald Davis Returns To Indianapolis

Storytelling Arts of Indiana eagerly welcomes back audience-favorite Donald Davis. Originally scheduled to perform in April, but postponed due to the pandemic, Davis will appear in person at Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center and on Zoom, telling a new story, “How They Linger: Stories of People Who Cannot Be Forgotten,” on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
